Ends and Beginnings
The big week has arrived.
So, on the topic of work there are a few verses that get me though. I'll only share one today because I have a feeling I'll need the other down the road. This verse says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3: 23-24 That's what I strive for, and it makes work so much easier to enjoy, especially on rough days. Just to know that God likes that I put forth a good effort and that I do good work as a representative of Jesus is good to me. To sum this up, do your best here because we are all God's children and when you work/help others you are doing a good thing; but also we do have a incredible reward through Jesus as eternal life with him. And it will be GOOD folks: God. Is. Good.
I have just one more final to go and time is kicking my butt. What I mean by that is I wake up at 5 in the morning for my fabulous internship and get home at 5 in the evening to shower and take finals and try to go to sleep around 9. Luckily, this will only last a week and then when I get home I can work on art or relax by watching tv (shout out to The Chosen!). I have been just going and doing so much lately, do you know what I mean?
It is bitter sweet to be ending my first college career and graduation this week. To be honest this was a rough semester with hard online classes due to covid. Then I will be moving onto another college for my masters degree and I can't wait!! I really do like learning, especially biology stuff which will be my strong focus next semester. This season in my life is so good. So many blessings are happening.
With my internship right now, I'm just getting paperwork sorted out which is to be expected. This is an opportunity I wouldn't trade and I am so happy for the smart, helpful, and kind people I get to work with. I know I am going to learn so much over the Summer! I did learn a resume tip I want to share with you all: when you get involved in something that would benefit your career, print out and hole punch a blank calendar and fill it up like a diary of highlights of what you did. Then store it in a binder and you have a record of everything you have done when you need to update your resume! Brilliant right!? I just started doing that today so I'll keep up on my tasks.
