Mother's Day Blog

 Mother's Day💗

I just wanted to come on here and address the moms, grandma's, and mentors that guide us through life with such a loving hand.

My mom is one of the greatest, caring people I know. I love her so much and owe so much to her. The best piece of advice mom has ever said to me- that I can  remember- is: "Just do your best." It sounds simple right? Well it is, it's simple enough for me to repeat during a test at school, simple enough for me to think about as I do a job that is difficult for me, and it's simple enough to be remembered every time I do anything. I know, if I don't do so good on something, like a test for example, and tell mom she will say, "did you do your best?" and if I can answer by saying "yes" she will be just as proud of me if I got an A+.

I've got my Bible out today looking at Psalms 31 after we heard a sermon about it by John Hagee this morning.

"A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.
She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.
She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.
She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.
She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night.
In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy.
When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate."
 Psalms 31:10-31

My Mom is this. She is so good to my Dad and I. She is so close to God and has taught me and prayed over me my whole life; I know that her prayers were heard by God. My Mom has so much wisdom and individuality like the woman in Psalms 31. This is who we as women should strive to be. While we many not all have these individual gifts- God gives mothers an extraordinary amount of talents from the heart and ability to care for people other than herself.

To all the women in my life who are celebrated today from my Mom , to Aaron's Mom to my grandma's and aunt's, cousins and friends, enjoy this day all for you. I think I can speak for us all by saying we wouldn't be who we are without you and we love you so much!💗
