End of my Internship with the USFWS

August 10, 2021, the last day for my internship.

Black necked stilt and male mallard

I suppose I can say now where I was working. I was with region 3 of the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. It was an incredible experience. I know I haven't been active on here and I have a series of 3 new blogs I desperately need to work on tonight to get out to you all. We finished up the Summer doing forest inventory and trail construction. I worked with some AMAZING people and honestly the day I left was incredibly sad. I had never left a job before, the one I have been working I have had for over 4 years now so this was a new experience. I will not be able to volunteer with bird surveys at least this semester because of my schedule. This was such a blessing though and God showed up in ways I didn't expect. You see, August 10th wasn't just my last day, it was also my first. One door closed and it was time to step into the next. Parker, my co-intern and I are dating. Things happened over summer that changed my perspective on where I was at in life and I had to make some hard decisions and really look into where my heart was at. I am so much happier now and in a much better place.

On August 10th, I was talking to Parker about the doors as I mentioned above. We just found this verse that says the perfect thing. "For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:8 Just remember, God is a good God and if you seek a good life that God has set before you doors that you have no idea will be there one after the other. Life is so good and so many good things happen all the time. When one thing comes to an end you will find another.
