Art Gallery Show!
On Thursday I participated in my first ever gallery show! It was such a cool experience so big thanks to the Lincoln Art Institute on having an amazing space and great group of artists to make the show so special! Parker came here Thursday evening and went to the gallery with me on Friday. Friday was one of the best days I have had in a while- we hadn't seen each other for 2 weeks prior to that and had the whole day together. So on Friday I had to go to school, came home and made the best cheesy rice and tacos I ever made (I am trying to cook more), then we went to pick up my wedding dress from getting alterations. The place was called Tham's in Springfield- this woman did an amazing job and so incredibly fast like within a week for a good price (link included because if you are in the area I highly recommend). Then we hurried up to the gallery to take some pictures and went to the Athen's FFA fish fry. I do love a good midwest fish fry! We even got to take a bounty of desserts with us when we left.

On Friday we did some homework, made a chocolate birthday cake for my grandma, and went to a Cajun restaurant for our Valentine's day date plans. Sunday we worked on more homework and didn't want to let the weekend end. It is supposed to snow a lot on Thursday but I will find a way to go to Kentucky.
The verse I chose for this blog relates to talent because I know that all my talents come from God, so many times I tell him that if he is not in this helping me then what I do will not be good. It is that way in art and archery when I ask God to help me with a shot in archery that is when I hit the center- when I tell God that his craftsmanship is in my art that is when I always do better because he shines through all I do. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. -1 Peter 4:10-11. This verse really sums up my life and the gifts God has given me I know it is only though him and when you point that out and notice how he is for you then you only get better.
